Hunni Documentation

Welcome to the Hunni Docs, where you'll find all of our documentation, guides, and tips to help you get the most out of Hunni.
First, lets go over some of the basics.
Hunni is a platform designed to help organizations efficiently and securely share data and documents internally or externally.
Hunni is designed for non-technical users, so no matter who you are sending data or documents to, they’ll easily be able to get what they need without technical assistance.
Hunni data can be accessed from our web portal, directly from Excel using the Hunni Excel Add-in, or using the Hunni API. Once you have data in Hunni, viewing, sharing, and editing is easy.
When you share data to someone, they can setup a free account that never expires and access the data from the web portal or using the Excel Add-In. If they'd like to use the API, they can upgrade to an Individual or Business subscription.

Hunni is structured around Tables, Views, and Models, which are called Assets.
Tables consist of rows, columns, and values. Table values can be data values or documents. See Creating Tables for more info.
Views are a way to view data from one or many tables and modify how the tables are displayed. Using Views, you can join tables together based on related columns, hide columns, rename columns, and change column ordering. Views can then be shared just like tables. See Creating Views for more info.
Models are a way to store column relationships between sets of tables. When creating views, you can use models to quickly assign relationships between tables that have previously been defined. Models save you time, by allowing you to create relationships between tables once. See Creating Models for more info.
File Groups are a way to strore groups of files that you can share internally or externally. Using File Groups you can quickly import multiple files at once, by dragging and dropping them into the preview or expanded grid in the Assets dashboard. See Creating File Groups for more info.
Create structured data tables in a snap using Hunni.
- Excel Upload - You can quickly get data into Hunni by uploading data from Excel. You can either create a new table from an excel file, or add to an existing table. See for more info in Creating Tables.
- Excel Add-In – You can upload data to Hunni directly from excel using the Hunni Excel Add-In. See Downloading the Excel Add-In for help downloading and Using the Excel Add-In for an overview.
- API – Our API gives you full control over all your Hunni Data. The API can be used to integrate datasets from your other systems into Hunni. Depending on your access permissions to an asset, you can add, modify, and delete data using the API. Read our API Overview for more info.
- Expanded Grid – From the Assets menu, you can access the expanded grid view by selecting a table, then clicking the Expand button above the folder nav. From there, you can add, edit, or delete tables rows through the row editor, accessible by clicking the row editor button in the upper right corner. You will only be able to access the table editor for tables where you have Owner or Write access.
- Sharing: Assets can be shared from the Assets menu located in the left sidebar navigation menu. Select an Asset, click the Share button from the button group above the folder window, then follow the sharing workflow. See our Sharing Guide for more info on sharing.
- Connections: To share with someone, they need to be a Connection , meaning they approve you sending data to them. You can add new connections when sharing an asset and they will receive a request to connect. If they don't have an account yet, they will be instructed to create a free account to access what you've shared with them.
- Business Subscribers can enforce approval workflow on new connections. See how this works in Workflow and Tasks.
- Reports: Access Reports showing active permissions to assets, access activity, and sharing activity.
